ROJA + JULIA

Writers/directors Roja Gashtili and Julia Lerman are the creative team behind Anchor and Folly. Their work has been recognized by the Sundance and Slamdance screenplay competitions, as an Emerging Narrative at IFP’s Independent Film Week 2010 and as finalists for the 2010 SFFS/Hearst Screenwriting Grant.

Their first script, Pretty To Think So, was optioned for feature film rights in the summer of 2010.

In the summer of 2011, they were artists-in-residence at USF Verftet in Bergen, Norway.

Prior to working together, Roja worked with Alex Gibney’s Jigsaw Productions (Enron: The Smartest Men in the Room, Client No. 9) and on Charles Ferguson’s Oscar-nominated No End in Sight. She is a graduate of UC Irvine's writing program.

Julia previously worked on Showtime’s This American Life and was selected for The Play Development Collective’s inaugural workshop for emerging playwrights in NYC. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University.

OLIVER + MATT

Producers Oliver Hartman and Matthew Thompson have helmed projects ranging from big-budget commercials for broadcast TV to micro-budget independent film shoots.

In the past year, they completed two short films – Toothbrush and Terrors of Basket Weaving. Toothbrush, a surrealist adventure, is currently playing in the festival circuit. Terrors, a thriller based on a story by Patricia Highsmith (author of The Talented Mr. Ripley) is currently in post-production. It is a recipient of a Jerome Foundation Grant.

Their collective previous work includes over 100 films, documentaries, music videos and two original web series.
